Tier 3
Training
What Tier 3 Is
Tier 3 is HALO Relief’s core field course — built for new volunteers coming in and current members who need a refresher. It runs on instruction paired with active, hands-on exercises designed to sharpen how you perform under real pressure, not just how you perform in a classroom.
Expect to move. This course is built around repetition and scenario work, so the skills below become reflex instead of theory.
What You’ll Cover
Train Under Pressure
Instruction
Each topic starts with direct, practical instruction — what it is, why it matters in the field, and how HALO Relief runs it on deployment.
Active Exercise
You’ll then run it live. Scenario-based drills push pace and pressure so you’re building muscle memory, not just notes.
Recommended Prerequisites
- FEMA IS-100 Recommended
- FEMA IS-200 Recommended
- CPR Certification Recommended
These are recommended, not required. Note: this course does not issue a CPR certification — bring one in if you have it.
